About me

My name is Iris, you can find me on the web under the name CatQueenIris.
Iris is the goddess of rainbows in Greek mythology.

Skills

I started drawing when I was 3.
At the age of 12, I started art academy.
During the first years, I followed general education art classes.
In the next level I studied digital art (photo manipulations, photography).

I would like to develop my creativity even further whilst focussing on my traditional skills.

Now I’m concentrating on my art painting skills.
I started painting with acrylics.
Recently, I began with a new technique of oil painting.
I like to work with oils, because it gives a good result and a realistic appearance.

Of course I also love to draw.
A year ago I joined “Deviantart” where I got acquainted with other people’s work.
I learned how other people make their graphite drawings so smooth in the art links
presented on Deviantart.
At the moment I’m improving my coloured pencils skills.

New techniques.

In July 2010, I wanted to learn how to make graffiti art.
I saw a few videos of graffiti artists and I learned quite a lot from them.
So I went to the shop in the city to buy a few aerosols.
I used this technique for the first time and it was quite an experiment.

Secondary school

I began in the 3rd year of secondary school studying publicity.
Now I’m doing my last specialization year at my present school.

High school

Plans for the future:
I want to study in high school illustration and after that audio visual art.

What I want to learn next
airbrushing, horror/fantasy grim, body painting, digital related artwork (digital paintings) , 3D animation and webdesign.
